He Guoqiang, a senior member of the Chinese Communist Party‘s Politburo Standing Committee, yesterday announced a donation of about $110, 000 worth of office equipment to the CPP, National Assembly Cabinet Chief Koam Kosal said. The donation was made during the official visit to Cambodia of a Chinese Community Party delegation, which was led by Mr. He, Mr. Kosal said, adding that the agreement to donate 700,000 yuan, or about $110,000, worth of office equipment was signed with the CPP’s Secretary General Say Chhum. “Mr. He said that he will be working hard to make cooperation between our two nations stronger,” Mr. Kosal said. During the signing ceremony, Cambodia’s National Assembly President Heng Samrin told Mr. He that the Chinese Communist Party was responsible for successfully developing China and its economy and had made China the most powerful country in the world. “So far, Cambodia thinks that China is a good friend. We have stood by and respected the One-China policy for a long time and continue to do so,” Mr. Kosal reported Mr. Samrin as saying.
